Hello there! This week is flying by and there is SO much to do as we have a move up test this week.  Thursday  Speaking: 5 minute presentation. You have to convince me why your city is AMAZING. You can use "Use of English 3-6: Oral Presentation" for ideas and some tips.  Writing: come prepared to write for 30 minutes.   Friday  Listening / Grammar / Reading: all will be done in class.  HOMEWORK Prepare your presentation.  Class notes - Phrasal verbs: 4-6 Defining & Non-defining Relative Clauses

HOMEWORK Do "Use of English 3-6: Phrasal Verbs",  we'll go over the answers in class tomorrow. 

HOMEWORK Do "Use of English 3-4" Exercises 1 & 2. Also look at "Use of English 3-5", we'll discuss these together in class, have some possible answers ready! Homework Do exercise #6 "Building New Words with Prefixes and Suffixes" in the reading about Megacities.

HOMEWORK Today is International Women's Day - for homework, I'd like you to learn about two strong female role models one from your country (national) and the other from anywhere in the world (international).  Be prepared to talk about them to the class. 

HOMEWORK (Optional) Finish Writing 1-2 " Linking Devices " exercises and share with me. 

HOMEWORK Finish the exercise "Use of English: 1-7". Finish the exercise "Writing: 1-1" and share with me when you have finished.  Extra Reading Exercises:  You can go to www.readworks.org and our class codes are:  A1 - KMGN3E A2 - XX527Y Feel free to do as many reading exercises as you would like, I'd say aim for at least 2 a week though. HOMEWORK  Read "Writing 1-1", focus on coordinating conjunctions (FANBOYS), coordinating adverbs, and subordinating conjunctions.  We will do exercises on Monday.
